Our Story

Kiln & Wheel Repairs was born out of a unique combination of passion for art and technical expertise in renewable energy. The story began with our founder, Pete Breaux, who was initially focused on photovoltaics (solar power) as a renewable energy professional. Pete’s life took an unexpected turn when his wife, a potter and pottery instructor, was in desperate need of kiln repairs. Her previous kiln mechanic had moved away, and she was struggling to find someone reliable who could fix her equipment.

Pete, being an artist himself, stepped in to help. What was meant to be a small repair job quickly blossomed into something much bigger. Pete’s technical know-how, combined with his hands-on experience working with his wife’s pottery equipment, turned into a new venture. As his reputation grew, word spread about his ability to repair kilns and pottery wheels, and soon other artists began asking for his help.

Over time, Pete became more and more involved in the world of pottery repairs. What began as a service to his wife’s pottery business soon expanded into a full-fledged business, offering professional kiln and pottery wheel repair services to artists across South Florida. Pete’s background in both technical work and art has given him a unique advantage in understanding the needs of artists and the importance of keeping equipment in top condition.
